An empire rises and expands, then what happens? It declines and falls. The entire Western civilization has been a gargantuan empire, and there are some in and outside of the West who say that the Western civilization is falling, and China in particular is rising, poised to surpass America. Ray Dalio is one prime example of the American Empire demise theorist.Today’s Western civilization in both Western Europe and North America, has an accute and painful problem: the Western growth model of global expansion has ran out of gas, because there is no more room to expand to.(Early-plugs insertion point. A few seconds of silence in audiovisual.)Earth has become too small for everyone: my view is that outer space is the only room left for humanity to expand to.The more I think about the past and the present of humanity, the more I’m convinced that AI, robotics, human longevity biotech, and nuclear-fusion powered outer space tech are the future of humanity.Advances in science, technology, and capitalism will yet again save and advance humankind from blinding and deafening ignorance, traditionalism, and conservatism, and revolutionize the human reality yet again. The Western reach and influence has saturated every corner of the world; there’s not a people and nation that the Western civilization hasn’t reached and opened and influenced, and there is not a people and nation in the world that isn’t aware of the Western civilization and the past deeds of the Western civilization. What happens now when the Western civilization no longer has more exotic peoples and nations to expand to and exert its influence on, when all the non-Western peoples and nations of the world are industrializing and Westernizing in one way or another?Vital resources are running out on Earth. Air, land, and water pollutions are constantly increasing due to the pervasive global industrial human activities. Without the future technologies to save humanity, especially AI, robotics, human longevity biotech, and nuclear-fusion reactors powered outer space technologies, humanity would go extinct on Earth.
